Theriot's Dream Catcher - Bennie
Through the very kind generosity of Mary Alice Theriot, Bennie came to join us on January 7th. Lyda Long was kind enough to take me with her to Liberty, Kentucky, to collect Bennie. Honestly, it feels like he has been here forever - he is an incredibly smart little guy and is best of friends with Skundi, our icelandic sheepdog.
UPDATE: Bennie was introduced to his first ever goat kid and he did very, very well. I do believe he will be stepping into Grandpa Ren's paw prints if his gentleness and concern for all creatures great and small is any indication. He was giving the baby kisses and licks and was VERY gentle. Way to go Bennie!
Bennie has also been learning how to be gentle with lambs - he is very concerned and gentle and like to clean little Ophelia when he can get a lick in edgeways. Unk Skundi hogs all the fun!

Theriot's Dream Catcher - Bennie
As you can see, he is still the Poster Child for the Perfect Sit.
I can't believe that a year has gone by so fast! Bennie is proving to be so much more than I ever dared hope for. He's gorgeous, maturing into a wonderfully even tempered boy who is smart, loving and gentle.
